From the Editor

Welcome to Wild and Woven!

This magazine began nearly a year ago at a creatives cohort meeting in Sheridan, Wyoming. At my table sat a weaver, a metalsmith, a photographer—and I, a poet—all connected by our shared desire to create. That afternoon sparked the idea for this project: to explore the stories and perspectives of women living in some of the most rugged and remote corners of the West.

In these pages, you’ll meet women whose lives are shaped by the land—farmers, ranchers, artists, healers, and storytellers. Each one offers a unique lens through which to understand resilience, strength, and the complexity of the human experience. These are stories of fortitude, grace, and the quiet power required to thrive in landscapes that demand so much.

As you read, my hope is that you find inspiration and a deeper connection to the creative spirit that unites us all. Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m excited to share these voices with you.

With gratitude,
